A gorgeous century home outside of Guelph gets a complete pondscape renovation.
The Vision
Out with the old, in with the new!
The owner of this beautiful century home in the village of Puslinch had an old pond that was tired and leaking. She approached Jackson Pond to help her design something much larger… that wouldn’t leak.
A lifelong veterinarian, this client embodied the term “animal person,” with a dog who loves to hang out near the water and loads of fish who needed a place to call home.
The Design
Small but elevated.
Together, we landed on a 10’ x 15’ pond complete with 5’ stream and waterfall. The pond itself is actually elevated above the patio with a retaining wall, making it more viewable. Surrounding gardens and a range of water plants complete the picture.

A refuge from a busy lifestyle.
A hard worker, our client was looking for an escape from the stresses of her long days. Her backyard is now a refuge where she can entertain friends and family on the back patio, or just listen to the water as it flows — drink in hand!

He designed and built this magnificent feature that we have today. Without a doubt, the pond is what all my guests comment on when they enter my yard.
